DuetScore Update: Nocturn Blue Theme and Floating Board Chrome
Meet Nocturn, a calm blue theme with pale azure paper and sapphire accents, alongside a completely redesigned floating desktop interface.
If you spend hours practicing under bright studio LEDs, warm yellow parchment can start feeling like a staring contest with a legal pad. Meanwhile, pure white screens feel like staring directly into high beams.
Meet Nocturn, our new blue theme. We built it around pale azure paper, deep midnight ink, and rich sapphire accents. It gives your eyes an immediate breather without turning your music stand into a hospital ward.
Along with the new palette, we tore out the four stacked horizontal toolbars that used to crowd the top of the desktop screen. Your sheet music finally gets the breathing room it deserves.
Everything now floats. Primary tools sit in a vertical rail on the left, tool settings rest in an unobtrusive pill at the top, and page controls hover neatly near the footer.
Best of all, your sheet music stays completely anchored. Switching from a pencil to an eraser or opening guitar fingerings no longer shoves the page down two inches, which means your students and rehearsal partners never lose their place in the middle of a passage.
The interface also knows when to step aside. Floating pills fade to half opacity the moment you scroll, and all toolbar chrome dims while you draw a stroke so nothing distracts from the notes.
We also rounded out the desktop menus with native card styling, cleaner shortcut columns, and automatic background update checks so your stand never falls behind. Over on Android, followers now see the presenter's focus point land dead center in their view every single time.
Sonata Gold is now our default theme across all platforms, but if you want cool blue tranquility during late night practice, switch over to Nocturn in Preferences.
